Fluid Research was founded in 1996 to design, manufacture and distribute multi component precision dispensing systems for varying applications. These systems are used to Meter, Mix, and Dispense multi component reactive resins such as epoxies, urethanes and silicones. The systems can even be used for triple-component paints. Our equipment is designed to automatically Meter, Mix, and Dispense these materials on ratio at programmed rates. We use our patented control and positive displacement pumping technology to provide flexibility, reliability and repeatability.

The origin of Fluid Research: A need...

In the late 80's, David Cline, our CEO (voted one of California State University, Fullerton’s Top 50 Prominent Alumni), had a need for a system to dispense two component silicone materials to "pot" instrument controls. A flexible system was required to both prepare and maintain material while accommodating a variety of shot sizes ranging from few grams to several hundred. Reliability was critical to minimize defects and control costs. Fluid Research was created!

We exclusively use ViscoTec Progressing Cavity Pumps for our Meter, Mix, and Dispensing applications. Progressing Cavity pumps are capable of processing filled materials with remarkably less wear than any other technology. ViscoTec’s Progressing Cavity pumps are designed to process delicate fillers such as glass spheres without damaging their integrity – something unheard of with piston or gear pumps; while also dispensing non-filled materials with extreme precision. Quality is our primary focus at Fluid Research; our systems combine high value with extreme flexibility. One system can be used to accommodate varying shot sizes, flow rates and ratios. Our patented control system allows you to change dispense programs in a matter of seconds.

Our new Contract Services division was also created as a solution to a need. Many companies need products to be potted, encapsulated or assembled, but simply don’t have the manpower to do so. Fluid Research’s Contract Services will act as your manufacturing division, allowing you to focus your valuable time it's most needed…selling your product.

Cline, also the west coast’s first recipient of 2000 Small Business Administration’s "Small Business Person of the Year", built Fluid Research upon the need for predictable Meter, Mix, and Dispensing of multi component filled and unfilled materials. We leverage technology to create value through increased productivity. We are continuously improving and developing new technologies to exceed your expectations. Our current products extend from tabletop dispense models for prototype and low volume production to multi-valve dispense systems for fully automated lines producing thousands of parts daily
