Mold Making and Dispensing Technology
Fluid Research® Corporation has designed machines to dispense virtually any amount of material. Our progressing cavity pump design ensures a specific amount of material is delivered every time.
We calibrate our machines to the amount of material dispensed per pump revolution; giving you the most accurate number possible. When calibrating, our engineers take into account a multitude of variables like specific gravity, temperature, viscosity, etc. Most of our equipment is equipped to automatically calculate a precise shot and shot time of the material to be dispensed.
While hand-mixing material for your molding applications appears as an inexpensive solution, material waste and clean-up can be costly and dangerous to both you and the environment. Piston pump dispensing machines have been around for quite some time. The design of the piston pump cycle results in continuous wear and eventual leaks. The amount of moving parts on a piston pump is the prime example of too many moving parts; this allows the opportunity for too much to go wrong, and leads to trouble maintaining ratio during a shot, as well as delivering a precise quantity.
Fluid Research’s Progressive Cavity Pumps are capable of true continuous flow operation, in a much smaller pump package with fewer moving parts. No more soft spots in the material during large mold making cycles - there is no difference between a 1 gal shot and a 20 gal shot - the pumps perform exactly the same.
All Fluid Research solutions deliver accurate, repeatable shots. Using proprietary continuous flowing progressing cavity pumps, micro-controlled servo drives, and modern computer hardware with custom proprietary software, Fluid Research delivers a positive displacement dispensing system which provides a seal-free design.
All Fluid Research Dispensing Solutions use a complete range of static mixers from every major manufacturer.
