Vision Integration

FRC - Fluid Research has integrated vision in a variety of applications. Vision can be integrated directly into your dispensing and fluid handling solutions as quality assurance, clean-up reduction, or material cost savings.

Barcode reading is a form of vision — scan the part and it will tell the dispensing equipment the shot rate, ratio and size of the product, eliminating any error or miscalculation.

Fluid Research can also integrate an infra-red camera into your automated meter, mix, and dispense system to view the dispensed product under specific conditions to ensure no faults, bubbles or flaws form. Many of our customers have integrated this as a portion of their Total Quality Management (TQM).

What happens if a mishap occurs in your automated system before the product reaches the dispensing arm? Material may still be dispensed creating a clean-up hazard. An example of this is potting: pieces moving along a conveyor may be misaligned or not loaded properly. See and fix this before you dispense onto the conveyor, wasting material and causing a problem that may shut down the line. Fluid Research can incorporate vision to tell the automated dispenser where and when it needs to dispense the material, alleviating any missed shots or misfires.
