Material preparation is key to your success. If you don’t condition your material properly, you run the risk of air bubbles and inconsistent viscosities, along with settling and separation.

Many dispensing problems occur due to poor material handling. Settling of fillers, moisture absorption and material viscosity cause inaccuracy and poor reliability in traditional dispense systems. Fluid Research recognizes that material handling is the least acknowledged critical aspect of your dispense system. The Material Management Unit™ (MMU) from Fluid Research is designed specifically to address material handling issues and provide consistent delivery to your meter, mix and dispense system.

We have produced customized material management solutions for varying needs; from pressurized tanks to our proprietary NeverEmpty™ management system. We have the knowledge and experience to prepare your material for the most consistent results anywhere.

One of the principal advantages of the MMU is the ease of exchange of material supply. Materials are typically supplied in cans, buckets, barrels or totes. The MMU’s design allows you to swap containers without introducing air into the system. Air in your supply lines is a major cause of off-ratio dispensing and shot size inaccuracy. Barrels can be disconnected and replaced without stopping production or requiring a de-airing of the dispense system.

Almost all systems designed by Fluid Research Corporation are built on a modular platform for Material Management Unit integration; you can upgrade at a later time while maintaining your existing equipment.
