Vision Integration
Fluid Research® Corporation has integrated vision in a variety of applications. Vision can be integrated directly into your dispense and fluid handling solutions as a quality assurance guarantee, cleanup reduction, or even a material cost savings reduction.
Barcode reading is a form of vision: simply scan the part and it will tell the dispensing equipment the shot rate, ratio and size of the product, eliminating any error or miscalculation - it's all electronically controlled!
Vision provides quality assurance guarantees. Fluid Research can integrate an infra-red camera into your automated Meter, Mix, and Dispense system to view the dispensed product under specific conditions to ensure no faults, bubbles or flaws in your product. Many of our customers have integrated this as a portion of their Total Quality Management (TQM).
If you have an automated system, what happens if a mishap occurs before the product reaches the dispensing? Material may still be dispensed into nothing - creating a cleanup hazard. An example of this is Potting: if you have the pieces to pot on a conveyor, should the conveyor not be loaded properly or a mis-positioned product, the dispense may still occur, only onto the conveyor instead of in the potted piece. Fluid Research can incorporate vision to tell the automated dispenser where and when it needs to dispense the material, alleviating any mis-shots or misfires while also reducing material used – bringing efficiency to a new level.
